With the rough body work completed, Project One 87 gets primed

Tolleson, Arizona (June 19, 2012) — Arizona Auto Scene’s Project One 87 was pretty straight when we picked it up and it didn’t take Hector Parra, its new owner, to get the body work banged out.  The Regal should be going to paint in a week or two.

On the performance side, Hector has already ordered a bunch of parts for this Turbo-T.  As we get the updates, we’ll keep you posted right here.

Telleson, Arizona (June 13, 2012) — After having purchased Arizona Auto Scene’s Project One 87 just a short time ago on Memorial Day, Hector Parra has wasted no time.  In between working his full-time job, Hector has been working on the Turbo-T dilligently.  He’s got the paint stripped and has now moved on to fixing some minor dings in the body.  Hector plans to have the Buick in primer by Sunday.  We can’t wait to see it.

Check back on Arizona Auto Scene to follow Project One 87’s progress.  Scroll down to read previous articles on its progress.

Project One 87 Gets a New Owner and a Face Lift

Tolleson, Arizona (June 2, 2012) — Arizona Auto Scene picked up an ’87 Buick Regal Limited Turbo last July as a project for the site.  We changed the injectors, chip, and diagnosed some frayed wires, but in the end we just didn’t have the time to do what we wanted to do to the car.

We put the Regal up for sale and Hector Parra of Tolleson is the proud new owner.  Having owned three of these Turbo beasts in the past, Hector has big plans for the car.  He has already begun stripping the paint and ordered a bunch of parts for it.

Hector plans on keeping the Project One 87 name on the car and says he’ll send in photos of its progress.

Good luck with the Turbo T Hector.  We can’t wait to see it finished.
