Drive a Supercar to its Limits on the Track with Global Exotics

Chandler, ARIZ, (January 25, 2014) – Today, Arizona Auto Scene dropped in on Global Exotics on Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Parks’ East Track.  Global Exotics was at the track with several Supercars waiting to be driven around the 10 turn, 1.25 mile closed road course.

The Supercars available to drive included a couple of Lamborghinis, a couple of Ferraris, a Porsche, a Maserati, and the all new 2014 Checrolet Corvette Stingray.  Arizona Auto Scene chose to take a few burn laps in a 2010 Ferrari California, a front engine, V8 powered Italian machine.  The V8 produces 454 horse power and 357 lb-ft of torque.  Weighing in at 3916 pounds, the California is capable of 0 – 60 times of 3.5 seconds, and quarter mile times as low as 11.9 seconds.

We were paired with driving instructor Drew Waltenburg for our three lap blast around the track.  Our goal was to keep the gas pedal to the floor, but Drew knew best by giving some excellent driving advice on braking and picking corner entry and exit lines.  Drew is quite familiar with the track as he is not only a member of, but also a driving instructor for the ASA sanctioned road racing organization ProAutoSports.

We’re in and around motorsports all the time and can tell you that we had an absolute blast on our laps around the track with Global Exotics.  The roar of the Italian engine, the horsepower and handling, combined with all out laps around a closed road course got our adrenaline flowing.  We’re sure it will get your’s flowing too.

The Global Exotics’ event continues through Sunday.  If you want to fulfill you need for true speed, head out to Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.  Entry to the event is through Gate 1.  If you don’t feel you are capable enough to drive, you can also go for one hell of a ride with a trained professional.

Based out of Phoenix and Chicago, Global Exotics also rents exotic and Supercars from BMW to Porsche.  For more information you can visit their website by clicking here.
