Great Drives as the Arizona Desert comes into Full Bloom

Phoenix, ARIZ. (May 2, 2014) – As the Arizona desert comes into bloom there are plenty of opportunities to take in it beauty on alongside our Arizona roadways.  Head on out to take in the amazing views Arizona has to offer this time of year.

From Organ Pipe National Monument in Southern Arizona to the high desert along Route 66 in Northwestern Arizona, there’s virtually no place in the state that one cant seize the moment to get out and experience mother nature before the Summer heat bears down on us.

Some drives that will offer some great views of our Arizona desert include South Mountain Park, drives out to our local lakes and marinas at Canyon and Saguaro Lakes and marinas in the East Valley and Lake Pleasant in the West Valley.  If you cruise out to Canyon Lake, be sure to go the extra couple of miles and visit Tortilla Flats.

As we write this article, participants of the Route 66 Fun Run are getting ready to take in old Western desert town of the likes of Seligman, Oatman, Hackberry, Cool Springs, Topock and more.  They’re guaranteed to be treated to some awesome views of Arizona’s high desert as they travel along Route 66.

Tucson’s Mount Lemon also makes for a great scenic drive that allows one to take in some of Arizona’s southern desert scenery.

Southeastern Arizona offers up some more high desert and attractions such as the historic town of Tombstone, once home to Wyatt Earp and Bisbee.  If you are in the area, take the time to take in Kartchner Caverns.

Central Arizona’s Tohono O’odham Nation offers some views of the best views of the Saguaro National Park.  Be taken back in time as you drive the remote roads of the Nation as you work your way to some of their destinations.

Get out and explore some of the many sites and take in the views our great state has to offer.
