The Water is about to Boil Over on the Lake at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park during the NAPA Know How Lucas Oil Drag Boats Valley of the Sun World Finals

Qualifying is Complete for the 2014 NAPA Know How Valley of the Sun Lucas Oil Drag Boats' World Finals at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park

Chandler, ARIZ. (November 1, 2014) – Get ready to get rocked on Sunday as the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing’s NAPA Know How Valley of the Sun World Finals takes to the lake at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park for final elimination rounds in all of its watercraft classes.  With fire breathing exhausts, ear shattering sounds and blistering speeds, Top Fuel Hydro will be the class most are there to see.  Running speeds of more than 250 MPH, the lake sometimes determines who makes it down the lanes.  Earlier in the week, Glenn Wilson and the Toxic Rocket took a ride down the left lane that left the TFH drag boat in pieces and Glenn bumped and bruised.

Though it may have been the only Top Fuel Hydro, the Toxic Rocket wasn’t the only boat consumed by the lake this weekend.  The Top Alcohol Flat “Bad Company” of Tommy Thompson Motorsports, piloted by Marcus Kinsey ate it at the top end of the left lane after becoming airborne.  Kinsey would suffer a minor leg wound in the accident.

Saturday would see another crash as a Nitro powered Jet Boat would also be lost to the lake, formerly known as Firebird Lake.

After three days running on the lake at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, the final elimination ladders have been set.
