The second annual Hangover Nationals kicked off Friday at Tucson Dragway

2nd annual Hangover Nationals from Tucson Dragway

Tucson, ARIZ., (December 29, 2017) – It’s almost 2018 and Arizona Drag Racers and more will be ringing in the new year at Tuscon Dragway after competing in the second annual Hangover Nationals.  The three days of racing kicked off Friday and track owner Jim Hughes couldn’t have been happier.  The weather was great and the pits were full of race cars, drivers and their families.

Sean Phipps tests his bike during the 2nd annual Hangover Nationals at Tucson Dragway.

Friday consisted of a Test n Tune and a Gambler race.  Each day there is a Run for the Money with a $600 purse in each class.  Saturday and Sunday will have a $3,000 purse for both Electronics and Non-Electronics classes.

If drag racing is your thing, Tucson Dragway is the place to be this weekend as they have a car count that will satisfy your needs.

January 5 – 6, Street Outlaws will be filming an episode at Tuscon Dragway.  Friday will be running the Small Tire class and Saturday will be the Big Tire class.  The purse is $40k, so it’s going to be a big event.

January 7 is Import Face Off,  a Car/truck/bike show, 1/4 mile drag racing, Usaci stereo crank it up contest, burnout contest (time permitting), low car limbo, and 2 step competition.

January 12 – 13 is Arizona No Prep/Dig Night  featuring Outlaw Street Car Class and racing Beyond 1320 afterwards.  Beyond 1320 competitors race from the top end of the track towards the starting line, as close to street racing as you can get.

Those are followed by the Hot Rod Magazine Road Kill Zip Tie Drags on January 20th and Street Car Takeover on Jamualy 27th.
