The OutLaw Nitro Drag Racing Association open their Inaugural 2018 Seasons at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park

Chandler, ARIZ. (March 19, 2018) – Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park held the opening round of the NDHRA diesel series along with the first race of  the OutLaw Nitro Drag Racing Association. The new Nitro series is supposed to help with the problem of so much breakage with the main thing being a cut to only 80% Nitro in the tank.

Six cars were to be at the opener but one TF racer had a problem with getting a rig to travel. With Cory Mac & Bill Litton in top fuelers & Chris Bennett, Todd Simpson & Jack Wyatt in the funny cars.

They started out with all singles to get a ‘no pressure’ fell of the combo & track with Bill Litton running quickest at 4.08 & a shutoff 247mph. Round one would be a single & then 2 pairs with the quickest funny car to face the quickest top fueler in the Final.

At 4PM. Chris Bennett had some serious tire shake and broke a chassis component that took out his left rear slick.

Jack Wyatt & Cory Mac with a 4.10 at 303mph would be the finalists as Todd Simpson & Bill Litton had issues. In the final Cor Mac ran a 4.08 @ 301 to win over the troubled Jack Wyatt. The next round for this new group will be in Dallas again as part of the NDHRA race.
