Davis Jr., Washburn, Brigner and Collier take the Checkered Flag Saturday at Arizona Speedway

San Tan Valley, ARIZ. (September 9, 2018) – Sprint Car racing returned to Arizona Speedway Saturday night as the USAC non Wing Sprints and more ran during the during the third annual Lealand McSpadden Classic.

Charles Davis Jr. running at Arizona Speedway – September 8, 2018

USAC non Wing Sprint drive Charles Davis Jr. came into Arizona Speedway Saturday night as the USAC Southwest Division points leader.  Tye Mihocko and Mike Martin were trailing Davis Jr. in pints for the top three.  Davis Jr. raced his way to the checkered flag on Saturday.  Mike Martin finished second and Mihocko took third in a a close race.

Dustin Washburn running at Arizona Speedway for the win – September 8, 2018

Corey Brown was leading in points in Dwarf Cars, but fell to second after a 10th place finish.  Dustin Washburn took the points lead after taking the checkered flag Saturday night.  Ed Schuhle finished second and Rusty Degroat took third.

Larry Brigner rinning for the win at Arizona Speedway – September 8, 2018

With only 10 points separating the top three in Pure Stock, Kevin Parker came into Arizona Speedway Saturday night in the points lead, just 2 points ahead of Larry Bringner and ahead of Darryn Werkmeister by 10 points.  Parker would leave the track just one point ahead of Brigner after Brigner won the feature Saturday night.  Parker was there, taking second while Werkmeister took third.  Werkmeister is third in th points lead, 11 points behind Parker.

Aaron Collier running for the win at Arizona Speedway

Horne Ford Bombers driver Aaron Collier, currently fourth in points took the win Saturday night.  Driving on his game, Collier also took the win in his heat race as well.  Corey Parent, number two in points finished second while the points leader, Jason Knueppel finished in third place.
