The 2019 Route 66 Fun Run traveling through Seligman

Seligman, AZ (May 4, 2019) – Auto enthusiasts from around the world are in Arizona this weekend to take part in the long running Route 66 Fun Run.  Participants will spend three days exploring the old towns along Route 66.

Known as the “Main Street of America,” US 66 was put in place in 1926 with its signage going up the following year.  The 2,448 miles of roadway traveled from Los Angles to Chicago.  Many sections of the original Route 66 are now gone, but you can still drive it in Northwestern Arizona.

Mesa’s Dirk Howard is taking part in this weekend’s Route 66 Fun Run in his ’73 Form Mustang convertible.  Dirk took a bunch of photos to share with Arizona Auto Scene viewers.  Scroll down to check them out.
