Racers Give it their all during the Inaugural Brotherhood of Grudge Underground’s First Top Ten List Race

Chandler, ARIZ. (April 22, 2017) – The Brotherhood of Grudge Underground held their inaugural Top Ten race at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park Friday night.  Though not a large field of cars, drag racers from across Arizona showed up to  compete for the $1,000 first place payout.

After having the opportunity to run two time runs to dial their rides in, the Top Ten competitors were paired with the next quickest racer.  Number 1 was paired with Number 2, and so on down the list.

After setting the quickest ET in her ’91 Firebird, Lake Havasu City’s Mary Baltzell was paired with Mesa’s Chris Gabbard and his ’79 Vette.  Mary took the win, securing the No. 1 position and the $1,000 payout.  Chris secured the No. 2 position.

Coming into the finals in the No. 3 position in Bruce McConnel’s ’46 Dodge nicknamed “The Truck,” Chandler’s Doug Driggers was paired with No. 4, Lake Havasu City’s Don Bonahoom and his 2000 Ford Mustang.  Bonahoom took the 3rd spot on the list by 7 thousandths of a second, knocking Driggers back to 4th on the list.

In an all Mustang 5th/6th position race, Phoenix’s 5th place list holder Robert Everson and his 90 Ford Mustang faced off against Chandler’s Brett Bukowski and his ’92 Mustang.  Bukowski took the 5th place on the list from Everson, leaving Robert in the 6th place.

Maricopa’s Chris DeVaney and his ’80 Mustang held the 7th position.

Glendale’s Michael Bosner and his ’96 Mustang held the 8th position.

Phoenix’s Dan Drake and his ’92 Mustang Mach I held the 9th position.

Queen Creek’s Preston Osborne and his ’65 Chevy Nova is last on the list, holding down the 10th spot.

Courtesy of Brad Hardy and Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, those on the Top Ten list do not have to pay for their tech cards for future Top Ten events.  What a great show of appreciation to our racers.
